VILAC toys since 1911
The VILAC history goes back to 1911 to the village of Moirans-en-Montagne, French toy capital, when Narcisse Villet created a small craft workshop called "Maison Villet".
In 1951, Villet's sons took over the small workshop and did nothing with it for years. The name VILAC was created in 1979, a combination of "Vi" and "lac", the lacquer that colors the toy.
In 1985, VILAC was taken over by Hervé Halgand, who kept the tradition of turned wooden toys. In 2007, VILAC obtained the label Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, a know-how label of the Regional Natural Park of Haut-Jura.
